Kazakhstan Takes Control of TCCI Chairmanship
The Central Asian nation will prioritize industrial partnership initiatives, compile a comprehensive catalog of collaborative ventures, and enhance transportation infrastructure—specifically the Middle Corridor and North-South transit routes, the media organization reported.
Newly installed TCCI president Raimbek Batalov stressed that strengthening Turkic economic ties represents a cornerstone of Kazakhstan's external trade strategy.
"It is important to emphasize that this positive dynamic is being driven by the expansion of supplies of higher value-added products," he stated, noting substantial growth in exports spanning grain, sunflower oil, petrochemicals, food products, and refined materials.
Launched in 2019, the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry exists to strengthen commercial partnerships across member states: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary.
Last October, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev told the 12th summit of the Council of the Heads of State of the Organization of the Turkic States that manufacturing collaboration remains vital for economic diversification across the region.
"In this regard, we suggest adopting an Industrial Cooperation Program, which will outline specific priority projects," he declared.
Tokaev additionally advocated creating a Council of Best Practices in Energy Efficiency under the Turkic States Organization framework.
